Campcampcamp.... juz went fer a very nice nad meaningful camp earlier dis month, things turn out to be not what normal people will think. Usually people feel that a camp ain't anything fun and all you get to sleep in is that sleeping bag which is so uncomfortable, the food? It make things even worse. Well, this camp proves otherwise. It is 3day2night camp set up by Ngee Ann Polytechnic to sort of let other youths see what's inside the school and well train up new leaders. This camp is called the Youth Leaders' Academy!
The first day was alright, maybe because I wasn't excited about the camp. The first place we entered, is our sleeping area. It is a nice and comfy apartment where there's kitchen, living room and even beds! After we had settled down, we went over to another location where we had some food and rest before the whole activity begins. I met friends there too. ShuFeng and Jacqueline from Clementi Town Secondary School, they are nice people who i met during Prefects' Investiture 2007 and the Modern Knights of the Round Table 2008 respectively.
Camps have groups right? I'm proud to be in NINJA, a group that is filled with fun-loving and sweet people(inedible ok? Cant eat and DUN TRY!!!!). Hanjie, Lyndon, Peijin, FengCan, Jolie, Bridget, Hafiza and Nisah are also in that group. The first activity is a lecture by Candice, an instructor from Adam Khoo Learning Centre. Lectures are usually boring but somehow, by a wonderful jokes, things turn out to be quite exciting. Oh, I also meet my first friend of the group, Jeremy, because he is just sitting beside me. HAHA. I also found out that I am in the Water Element in which I am a 'feeling-dominant' person. It just means that I am strongly affected by my feelings, that's all haha. Dinner was not what I expected though I still prefer rice, it was Pizza from PIzza Hut. Expensive? Very indeed. We had a chance to meet one of our student leaders and she is Junaini. A nice person too. Then, we had a mini-Amazing Race. I think the objective is to let us know the school has some cool and nice places ^ ^. We went back to our apartments and met our roommate - Azha and Carl from Zhenghua Secondary School. After bathing and a little rest, we went to our tribe room and did more cheers which will be used for our FINALE!!!!! Our very nice Student Leaders are Kim, Adam, Edmund, Junaini, Xiaoyuan, Khai Dan, JieTong, Junn, Jason, Pris and Sherlyn. Well, turn out that we are way off the schedule. Lights off should be 0130 and we went to bed at 0200. Neh, it's alright. But tomorrow, our wake up call is 0630.
Second Day is also not bad. We had difficult time waking up JieTong but he still woke up, Adam too. The day is filled with more workshops by Candice. But she is a hyperactive person, and never fails to lighten up the spirits in the hall. The ViKings and called Horny people. Those from Clementi Town are people from the Village. There's more. Most of the volunteery answers are given by SWISS PREFECTS, then when there's is another person volunteering, she'll say to Agnes who sits in front, "Don't tell me thats another Swiss Cottage." hahah!!!! Oh, had another good friend called Edmund and don't know why we are very good buddies. Food? Breakfast was Nasi Lemak. Lunch was Kentucky Fried Chicken. Dinner? Night of the LIVING DEAD!!!!! It's like a Farewell Party and then there are like yummy food and stuff. Our student leaders aso dressed up to be like ZOMBIE!!!! hahahah!!! Quite fun. Then suddenly, they are looking for Mr and Ms Ninja. Then Kim called me and Nisah to go then I was like DAMn. I was paired up with a girl from spartan and she is not that sporting. Guess who won the Title - MR and MS YLA? They are MR Apache and MS Ninja!!! WOAH!! Our team and our alliance won!!! hahahaha!!!! At night, we focused on our finale and slept at like 0200?
Last day is the sad day. All of us are heading back home. Nevertheless, we held our spirits high and had all the fun we had. First up, is the rotational game under the hot sun. We played the Hula game against Centrurians and we won!!! WOAH!!!! It's really fun and that it can be seen that we are cheering for one another. Next up, Dodgeball. Turn out to be a draw in the end, and i accidentally hit the head of Ms Centurian using the ball(sorry). Then, is Stand Up. Again, played by the board before so well nothing much to talk about it. Lastly, Human Entanglement. Same game as we had played before, just that now 1 person has to be blindfolded.... Met Angel and Jeff there too. Remember? The Natlie Camp last year? The one that has the tiring puzzle game and the CRUSADE!!!! hahahaha!!! I'll never forget them, they are nice people and wonderful instructors. hahahahs!!! Later, we went back for more workshops and then the finale. By then, I had already lose some voice and my voice become so DEEP and so SEXY ahhaha. But, we cheered all the way. Didn't get a chance to do our finale item cause of some miscommunication and our Ninja Student Leaders are angry cause we prepared till very late every time. Then, when we are having our own group talk, we spilled to them that the song is entitled to them and we decided to sing to them now, with them as our audience. Without any hesistations, most of their eyes turned red and as we sang along, they burst into tears. Jason was like," Tissue, tissue , nah tissue." hahaha!!! Very heart-warming indeed. Jeremy,at the back, also cried. Very sad lorhz.... Then, we went back to
theLoft@94 then say our farewells. Very sad yet very touching. I MISS NINJA!!!!!!!!!
